What Does Article 97 Of The Indian Constitution Say?

“There shall be paid to the Chairman and the Deputy Chairman of the Council of States, and to the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker of the House of the People, such salaries and allowances as may be respectively fixed by Parliament by law and, until provision in that behalf is so made, such salaries and allowances as are specified in the Second Schedule.“
Article 97 of the Indian Constitution simply states that the salary and allowances of the Chairman and the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha and the salary of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker can be decided by the Parliament by making a law for it.

Until the time Parliament does not make any law to decide upon the same, the salary and allowances will be paid to them as they are mentioned in the Second Schedule of the Indian Constitution.
